The future of #physiotalk as we turn 10 Mon 18th Dec 8pm GMT

Our very first Physiotalk tweetchat was on Monday 16th December 2013 – and 10 years later we are celebrating our 10th birthday!

Things have moved on in the last 10 years and our tweetchat on Monday 18th December at 8pm GMT will both be looking back at some memorable Physiotalk moments and also looking to the future. 10 years is a long time on social media, and we really want to take this opportunity to regroup and consider what the best thing is for Physiotalk and our followers moving forwards.

So we really want to hear from YOU – please comment on this blog posting, answer our tweets and vote in our polls in the run up to 18th December. We will then take a look at what you want from Physiotalk before we decide what to do in 2024.

It is a difficult time for volunteer run tweetchats – without subscription we have lost access to Tweetdeck and the changes on Twitter (X) mean that we can’t pull a transcript or any chat analytics. So its more difficult to chat and if you missed the live chat you can’t read the output anymore. Challenges like this have meant that our friends over at OTalk have stopped doing tweetchats and taking a look at the WeCommunities calendar shows they have no chats planned either.

Before we make any decisions though, we really need to know what the Physiotalk community think – we have nearly 40,000 followers and we want to do the best thing for you – what is right for us as we move into 2024. So have your say ahead of Monday 18th December. We will then celebrate 10 years during the tweetchat – so join in and have some fun thinking about the highs (and lows) of the last 10 years!
